One of the main features of Astro-Menu is its auto-translation capability.

The Astro-Menu team believes there should be no language barriers when reading a menu, ensuring customers enjoy a seamless dining experience. At the same time, we aim to simplify the translation process for restaurant administrators using Astro-Menu. That’s why whenever a new meal or menu section is added, the system automatically translates them into the target languages.

To set up your translation settings effectively, you need to define two key parameters:

1. Define Your Base Language

The base language acts as the foundation for all your content, including menus, descriptions, and titles. Any text you input in this default language will serve as the primary source for building your menu structure. If you offer translations in other languages, these translations will be generated from the base language.
Therefore, it’s crucial to ensure your base language is accurate and clearly defined, as it directly impacts how your content is translated and displayed in other languages.

2. Define Your Target Languages

Target languages are the languages into which your menu, meals, and meal labels will be translated.

Once these settings are configured, the system will automatically translate your meals, menus, and meal labels seamlessly.

Note:
You can update your target translation languages up to three times per month. If you remove a target language, all associated translations, including any manual updates you’ve made, will be overridden by the new settings.
