Astro-Menu is designed for seamless viewing on a single page with vertical scrolling only. This ensures that customers stay focused while navigating the menu, avoiding the need to jump between multiple pages or sections.
How to Build Your Menu
-
Start by Adding Sections:
- Astro-Menu will automatically translate your sections into the languages configured in your translation settings.
-
Add Meals to a Section:
- Select meals from the available list to add them to each section. Note that disabled meals will not appear in the list.
- Once meals are added, click on Edit Prices to modify the price of each meal specifically for this menu. Changes made here will not affect the base price of the meal or prices on other menus.
Tip:
Set base prices for the meal, then flexibly adjust those prices for each menu, allowing the same meal to have different costs across different menus.
Reordering Your Sections
Reorder sections by clicking the up and down arrows at the top right corner of the section card to arrange them in your desired order.
Section Titles and Translations
When a section is added to a menu, Astro-Menu automatically translates it into the languages you selected in the translation settings page.
To manually update a translation or part of it, click the Edit icon at the top right of the section. If your section is translated into multiple languages (e.g., Arabic, French, Spanish), you will see a separate card for each language, allowing you to edit the translation individually.
Translation Field Options
Each translation field offers the following options:
- Reset to Default Value: Reverts the translation to the state it was in before any unsaved edits.
- Reset to Original Translation: Restores the initial system-provided translation.
- Save: Saves your edited translation.
Important Considerations for Updating Section Titles
Updating a section title will trigger automatic translation of the new content into your selected languages, overwriting any previously edited translations. Keep this in mind to prevent unintentional loss of manual edits.
