Astro-Menu admin dashboard simplifies the process of updating your restaurant’s digital menu, ensuring a seamless experience for both staff and customers. Follow the steps below to add new meals and leverage built-in features that enhance meal discoverability:
Click the Add button from meals page to access the meal entry form. Complete the Required Fields:
- Image: Upload a high-quality photo that visually represents the meal.
- Name: Enter the name of the meal as it should appear on the menu.
- Description: Provide a brief and appealing description to inform customers about the meal’s key ingredients and unique attributes.
Add Portions and Pricing:
Under the Portions section, specify the available portion sizes (e.g., small, medium, large). Assign a corresponding price for each portion size to cater to different customer preferences.
Tip:
Set base prices for the meal, then flexibly adjust those prices for each menu, allowing the same meal to have different costs across different menus.
Apply Meal Labels for Enhanced Filtering:
Use the Meal Labels feature to tag meals with attributes such as decaf, sugar-free, gluten-free, and more.
These labels are crucial for helping customers filter through the menu based on dietary preferences or specific needs, enabling them to quickly find meals that match their criteria.
This, in turn, enhances their experience and can improve table turnover by speeding up decision-making.
Review and Save:
Once all details are completed, review the meal entry and save, to start adding your meal to your menus.
Translation
You dont have to worry about translating your meals by yourself, Astro-Menu will automatically translates your meal to the languages you have selected in your translation settings.
You may edit the translation manually after adding the meal from the translation tab under meal’s management page.
